Wealden Local Plan

The Local Plan sets out the District Council's policies for the development and use of land. It provides the basis for deciding planning applications, and identifies where new housing, business and other developments should be located and other areas where further development should be resisted.

Adopted Wealden Local Plan

The adopted Wealden Local Plan was published in 1998. As of 27 September 2007 a number of policies in the Wealden Local Plan were saved by approval of the Secretary of State under paragraph 1(3) of Schedule 8 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004. A list of these policies has been produced (listed in Plan order). Any policies not listed have now expired.

Non Statutory Wealden Local Plan

The Non-Statutory Wealden Local Plan was approved by the Council at it's meeting on 14th December 2005.
