There are plenty of opportunities for both school leavers and adults to participate in further education in the Wealden/East Sussex area. A variety of academic and vocational courses are provided by further education establishments ranging from local colleges to universities.

This college in Brighton and Hove is a large multi-site further education establishment offering a wide range of academic, vocational, further education and leisure courses.

For those people who are interested in pursuing courses in farming, agriculture etc Plumpton College is a land-based further education establishment college that offers full and part-time courses at a variety of levels, up to and including degrees.

Brighton university is more of a multi-site university based in and around Brighton and again it offers a wide range of interdisciplinary study facilities

Based at Flamer the University of Sussex is a centre for interdisciplinary study and world class research.
