Household Waste Recycling Sites

Whilst it is Wealden District Council that is responsible for the collection of refuse within the district, the disposal sites are operated by East Sussex County Council. There are six Household Waste Recycling Sites within the Wealden District accepting general refuse, garden waste (for composting), electrical items and recycling, please note the items accept at each site may vary. The Household Waste Recycling Sites are located at Crowborough, Forest Row, Hailsham, Heathfield and Wadhurst with a mobile site available on Sunday mornings at Uckfield.

Please note that domestic fridges and freezers may still be taken to any Household Waste Recycling Site apart from the mobile site in Uckfield, free of charge.
