Citizens' Rights

Citizens have a number of rights in their dealings with the Council. Some of these are legal rights, whilst others depend on the Council's own processes.   The local Citizens' Advice Bureau can advise on individuals' legal rights.

Where members of the public use specific council services, for example as a council tenant, they have additional rights.

For information on the rights of citizens to inspect documents and attend meetings, please contact Committee Services at the Council Offices, Pine Grove, Crowborough, East Sussex, TN6 1DH (Tel: 01892 - 602578 or e-mail: memberserv@wealden.gov.uk) .  

All documents may be inspected at the Pine Grove Office Reception Crowborough during office opening hours 8.30 am to 5pm (Monday to Friday).   Most documents are also available for inspection at the Vicarage Lane Office Reception Hailsham (same opening hours).
