Going into or coming out of hospital

Most state benefits are affected if you go into or come out of hospital.

You should contact:

your local Jobcentre Plus office (if you claim Income Support, Job Seeker's Allowance or Incapacity Benefit)

the Inland Revenue (if you claim Tax Credits)

the Disability Benefits Unit (if you claim Disability Living Allowance or Attendance Allowance)

the Carer's Allowance Unit (if you claim Carer's Allowance)
