IMPORTANT NEWS - CHANGES TO AWARDS FOR ALL ENGLAND
With effect from 1 April 2009, the Big Lottery Fund's small grants programme, Awards for All England, will change from a joint grants programme, involving the Arts Council England, Big Lottery Fund, Heritage Lottery Fund and Sport England, to one run by the separate distributors.
From 1 April, the new separate small grants programmes will be as follows:
Big Lottery Fund will award grants of £300 to £10,000 to local communities in 2009-2010.
Sport England will offer grants for sports ranging from £300 - £10,000.
Arts Council England will support awards between £1,000 and £100,000 through their existing 'Grants for the arts' programme.
Heritage Lottery Fund grants of £3,000 - £50,000 through existing 'Your Heritage' and £3,000 to £25,000 through Young Roots.
More detailed information will be available shortly, but applications can still be made under the current arrangements until Awards for All England closes on 31 March 2009.

Update on the Compact
The Compact Implementation Strategy 2007 – 2012 is now available for discussion. The Compact is an agreement between the Statutory and Voluntary and Community Sectors, which aims to improve the relationship between them for mutual benefit. It is a continually changing and evolving agreement and the more organisations that sign up to it and use it, the better to working relationships will become.
